On the first Saturday of Lent, the Wilten Boys’ Choir will present one of the most brilliant and touching works in the history of mankind – the St Matthew Passion.
Split between two chamber choirs and the concert choir with soloists from its own ranks of boys’ and male voices, we will deliver a diverse performance from small, intimate ensembles to big, powerful choirs, just like Bach intended. The crystal-clear sounds of the boys’ voices will fill the grand rococo Wilten Basilica, supported by the Tyrolean Academia Jacobus Stainer Baroque Orchestra on historic instruments, conducted by Johannes Stecher.
